matcha
So many years ago. I was in High School and spending a night at a friends house. While I was sleeping I suddenly found myself in a womb like space. I knew I was being bitten. I could feel it in my back. I was so angry and ashamed to be bitten. I forced myself awake. On my thumb there was a line that disappeared later. I kept myself awake most of the rest of the night. When I got home I finally slept and when I woke up there were lines across each of my fingers on my right hand. These also disappeared. I'd say my life changed. Suddenly I knew I was being lied to at school because at school they said there were no vampires. I continued to get good grades, but I felt I was getting stupider. This is because I didn't hold on to teachings like they were sacred truths, like I did before. I began talking to angels in my head when I was supposed to be sleeping. I would stay up a good part of the night doing this and catch up on sleep over the weekend. Sometimes I wonder if when I was bitten by a vampire was the moment I became Schizoaffective Bipolar. Did it change something in my brain. Or was this bite actually not a vampire, but a precursor to my illness. I don't know, does anyone else here have a similar experience? Crystal Wolf
Hi, I think that the vast majority of people will just think that it was the disease starting to affect you and nothing whatsoever to do with vampires. Have you discussed this with your counsellor or gp as this experience is obviously very important to you and could be the trigger factor that needs to be investigated so that you can distinguish the truth and perhaps lead to an improvement in your condition and hopefully a recovery. matcha
There is no real recovery for my illness yet. Just drugs that mask the symptoms. I am not crazy right now. Just a little around the edge. I function and live day-to-day life. The amount of medication needed to take off the edge makes me feel like a zombie. I might be going through some medication changes soon... due to side effects. It is always comforting to hear someone who is into the... metaphysical who doesn't tell me to quit the medication. For example, the movie What the Bleep Do We Know.
Crystal Wolf
I would never tell anyone to quit their medication, that is something only your doctor should ever do. I am just talking from my own experiences. This part of the community 'I'm a vampire - Get me outta here' was created because so many people came to us wanting to discuss vampires after all the media hype about the films Twilight and True Blood and Buffy etc. We felt that it is important to try and help everyone keep track of reality and still have somewhere people could come and talk about their thoughts in a balanced way. Metaphysical, Spiritual New Age or whatever, there are many people seriously affected and hopefully we may be able to help them by discussing these subjects openly and realistically rather than leaving it to some of the other forums around the internet that are populated by biase and fiction. Good luck with the new meds, trying different brands of the same chemical can help side effects as not all drugs have the same ingredients and generic names often have ones that may affect people adversely. Destiny
I think it is very sad that because of the influx of media some vulnerable people cannot distinguish what is fact and what is fiction, Of course most myths have some shred of fact in them but really, the world needs a reality check? CrystalDreamer
Does anyone ever wonder about the OP? I wonder what became of her; it was kind of a worrying post.
Crystal Wolf
I have split off the posts about vampire novels and such now. So many people come and go, they post they get a response then disappear. I am sorry but I do care but I find it impossible to wonder about everyone? You have made me think but is there any benefit to wondering and getting concerned when I only have limited resources?
Crystal Wolf
I have just noticed that this thread "I was bitten years ago" has had 7,879 views! That is amazing. Perhaps there is a real discussion to be had here that I am missing?

I didn't mean anything by it :)
Crystal Wolf
I know :) but it is interesting that the thread has had so many thousands of views. Is it the title I wonder or do lots of people have this experience?
WolfSong
Probably just the sensational title.
CrystalDreamer
Twilightitis would be my bet. I once worked very briefly as a news collector for a small-time archaeology website a friend of mine had set up, and most of our articles had about 100-300 views, until we posted a news article about mural paintings in ancient Greece depicting sexual scenes. We named it "Prehistoric porn?", and it received 3500 views! It's just what people google I guess :P

txs
The title is what got me to click on the post :) I haven't met any vampires or had any vampire experiences other than the occasional psychic vampires/energy drainers. And even in those cases, some of them don't realize they have that effect on others and its completely unintentional.
Crystal Wolf
I watched Breaking Dawn last night, brilliant twist in it :)
